Virginia grew up in Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, a small community in the Shenandoah mountains. She majored in History and Anthropology with a minor in African Studies at the University of Virginia. While she was there, she fell in love with storytelling through admissions and historical tours. After graduation, Virginia worked for a youth workforce development board in Boston and a collaborative aiming to lower the local high school dropout rate. In 2017, she joined Tufts Admissions as an Admissions Counselor where she oversaw student volunteers. Virginia received her M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from NYU Steinhardt in 2021. While there, she interned with NYU Metro Center, mentored first-generation college students, and interned with the WashU in St. Louis First-Year Summer Academic Program. Virginia serves as the coordinator of the transfer reading process, supervisor of the visit experience team, and one of our Slate Captains.
